Happy Birthday Shaun Cassidy
I missed all the Cassidy hoopla — all of it.
When David Cassidy was the popular one, I was too young to get it.
By the time Shaun Cassidy was the popular one, I already moved on to KISS and Aerosmith.
Then, a few years ago, I bought a CD of 1970s teen idols because I loved so many of the songs: “Ben” by Michael Jacskon; “Easy Come, Easy Go” by Bobby Sherman; some Partridge Family songs … and then I came across this excellent song I never heard before.
That song was by Shaun Cassidy, “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
I played it over and over, many times. What a good number, a perfect pop tune.
And that’s the way it is with music from the 1970s because there was so much greatness out there, it was impossible — impossible to discover it all. (And I say the same with the 1980s).

If you have time, check out the comments from the fans — it’s hilarious (in a good way!)
He’s the first album my sister ever bought.
