RIP Bonnie Franklin, January 6, 1944 to March 1, 2013

Bonnie FranklinBonnie Franklin

Today we lost another legend. Bonnie Franklin died at age 69, due to complications of pancreatic cancer.

I adored her as the beloved mom on “One Day at a Time.”

Fellow blogger, Andrew Godfrey wrote a nice tribute to her: http://nostalgia049.wordpress.com/2013/03/01/bonnie-franklin-of-one-day-at-a-time-dies-at-69/

And here is another wonderful article from The New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/03/02/arts/television/bonnie-franklin-actress-dies-at-69.html

And here is a showcase of her musical/dancing talents from the 1970s Broadway production, Applause:

APPLAUSE

She will be missed!

  1. Awwww I hadn’t heard about this. Too bad.

    • I’m so surprised nothing was on the news! It’s so weird, people from my generation are dying left and right and not getting the recognition they deserve. I didn’t even know Michael Sarazin died until three years later!!!
