Happy Birthday Keith Richards

Keith Richards

Good ‘ol Keith Richards was born on this day in 1943.

He’s always been my favorite Stone.

I saw the Stones in the late 1980s, but loved it even more when I saw Keith perform solo in the early 1990s at the Beacon Theater in NYC.

At the end of the show as I was leaving, I saw a bunch of young people hurdled together in the audience, near the back. Turned out, legendary Joe Strummer was there chatting with fans and signing autographs — in the back, like one of the boys — no VIP seat, no front row! I was thrilled to briefly meet the rock legend and get his autograph, which I still have.

See, this is why I love Keith so much — the type of people, even rock legends, he attracts are so down to earth!

And since Keith was born during the holiday season, here’s a fun Christmas tune by Keith:

Run Rudolph Run

Devil’s Gonna Get You

Gearing up for Halloween, here’s some devilishly cool songs!

Bessie Smith: Devil’s Gonna Get You

B52s: DEVIL IN MY CAR

Alice Cooper: DEVIL’S FOOD

Bebe Buell: DEVIL YOU KNOW

CRAMPS: DEVIL BEHIND THAT BUSH

Elvis Presley: DEVIL IN DISGUISE

Marty Robbins: DEVIL WOMAN

Rolling Stones: Sympathy For The Devil
